Meet the team.

We believe the leadership structure of an organization is very important—it's more than administration. Soma City Church is led by a team of people with different backgrounds, experiences and passions.

Sammy + Ashley Adebiyi

Lead Pastors

Sammy was born and raised in Nigeria. He moved to Toledo, where he met and married his best friend Ashley. They have four daughters, Bebe, Eden, Nora, and Lola. Sammy is a national speaker for Food For The Hungry and has toured with TobyMac, Skillet, Lecrae, Third Day and others. Ashley is a stay-at-home mom and part time tea party hostess, professional kitchen karaoke singer, and make believe boutique owner. When Sammy isn’t playing soccer, he's probably watching soccer, taking a drive in his jeep, or playing with his daughters. When Ashley has adult time, she loves going on dates with her hubby, hanging out with her friends, working out and shopping.

Ryan + Libby Snow

Associate Pastors

Ryan moved to Toledo in 2005 to plant a church after serving on staff at Vinyard Church in Columbus and Young Life. Libby worked for ten years as a middle school educator and is currently a full time homemaker, with an at-home baking business. They have been married for 18 years and Ryan admits that he married out of his league. Together they have four awesome kids, Ellie, Emma, Griffin and Grady. Ryan's passions include Jesus, leadership, running (over 40 marathons), reading, Chipotle, Costco, Cookies, and Coffee. Libby loves Jesus, her family, traveling, Young Life, friendships and sour patch gummy bears.

Alex Zmolik

Storytellers + Students

Alex is a Port Huron native, but moved to Toledo to play football at the University of Toledo and was chosen by his teammates as captain during the 2015 season. Alex is married to his beautiful wife Katie, and they have an adorable pup, Pepper. Alex oversees our volunteer teams, known as Storytellers, as well as the growth and development within Soma's Student ministry. When he isn't hard at work Alex enjoys carbs, coaching football, playing video games, and procrastinating at his chores.

Hannah Lundquist

SC Kids

Hannah went to Anderson University in Indiana where she studied Family Life Science. Now she and her incredible husband, Weston, live in Holland where they raise their dog, Arthur, together. Hannah serves the youngest people of Soma City. She oversees the classroom environments for children birth through fifth grade. Partnering with parents to help lead their kids in a growing friendship with Jesus is a great joy for Hannah. But she also enjoys walks with Arthur, receiving edible arrangements, coffee, MetroParks, and the Today Show!

OUR VISION.

Soma City exists to take the good news to those who are far from Jesus by pursuing meaningful, no-strings attached friendships with those close to us. Our goal is to be the most barbecue grilling, story-telling, fence hopping, meal sharing, risk taking, community dreaming, injustice fighting, party throwing, story celebrating friends in our neighborhoods + networks.

Simply put, our vision is to be the best friend our city has ever known.

"I took my passion in to speaking life into others which made me happy. That's really my passion. Just to be able to grow and touch hearts that I wouldn't normally touch being here. And being able to just show others that they aren't alone. Wherever that is, it can be this house, it can be a stadium full of 10,000. Wherever god takes me, however nervous I may be, I know its for him and it will happen that way."
