We love kids at Soma City.

We have intentionally created spaces for both our kids and students. Each gathering may look a  little different but always includes exciting worship and an age-appropriate lessons.

STUDENTS.

GRADES 6-12

While everyone can be apart of God's story at any age, we believe there is no season of life that's more strategic to learning the trajectory of our lives towards God than our teenage years. It's our privilege to lead every student in our community towards a friendship with Jesus. To best do this, we offer Mentoring for our students, pairing them with one of our adult Storytellers to be a consistent voice of love, truth, and encouragement. Our Mentors are committed to partnering with parents to help their students navigate school, life, and develop a faith of their own. We believe that every student deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them.

Sundays are an environment designed for students curious to discover who Jesus is, regardless of of what you believe. Students stay for worship in the theater, then meet in the lobby, before being escorted to the5 for practical teaching and guided group discussion. The last Sunday of every month, our students serve as storytellers and join our conversations in the theater. Once a month our students hangout outside of Sunday gatherings.

SAFETY.

The safety of every child is our highest priority for SC Kids and Students. For kids, each child's name tag is uniquely matched to a parent tag and only parents with matching tags can check kids in and out of classrooms. In addition to having security protocols in place, every SC Kids volunteer has gone through a federal background check and they are trained to guarantee your child is safe and has the best experience possible. For students, they are escorted to the5, and they building is then locked and alarmed.

"I think what this has taught me is that so much of being brave is just showing up. Showing up for all of the things we've had to do for adoption. Showing up on the hard days and the easy days. We're just showing up for that. It's been both freeing and also really challenging to own that decision and just fully trust in God that this is what he wants for our lives. There's been story after story after story of the small moments that have confirmed this in our hearts and we can both say wholeheartedly that this is what we want to do."
